Description

Peter Daneff is a pianist, composer, arranger and teacher at the Musician’s Institue in Hollywood. His music has a mixture of influences including Latin jazz and Middle Eastern styles. Guitar Hanon is a colection of 51 fretboard exercises designed to dramatically improve strength and independence of the fingering hand and speed and coordination of the picking hand. Many of the exercises contain different fingerings, and can be played on different string sets, in different positions, or across the whole fretboard. The exercises are perfect for guitarists of all standards, from beginners to professionals, and will benefit guitarists of all musical genres, since they contain Arabic, Greek, Persian, African, flamenco, salsa and classical as well as jazz and blues influences. The book contains diatonic and chromatic scale exercises as well as major, minor, dominant and half-diminished seventh arpeggio based exercises. Whole tones and diminished arpeggios are also covered.
