Adorned with their signature bat inlays and lethal EMG pickups, Schecter’s Damien Platinum collection is not for the faint-hearted. The Platinum-5 bass is a sinister addition to the line-up, promises cutting-edge feel and red-hot bass tones by the bucketload.
A mahogany body offers hefty sustain, perfect for accentuating those lower notes. A subtly-contoured satin-finished body ensures easy, familiar playability that’s very similar to a guitar in its feel.
The 3-piece maple neck offers a snappy tone, complemented by the rosewood fretboard for smooth navigation of the 24-fret range. A set-neck construction provides excellent upper-fret access, while h a 2-way adjustable truss rod ensuring top-notch tuning stability and intonation.
The Schecter pickups in this bass offer great attack and a lot of tonal choice. Dual EMG 40Hz humbuckers squeeze every drop of depth and sustain out of the mahogany body. An EMG active 2-band EQ offers a broader tonal palette than you might expect.
The Schecter Custom Bass String Thru bridge further complements the set neck construction and 2-way truss rod for excellent tuning stability. Finally, satin chrome hardware is used throughout to add that extra touch of contrast.
